The Workshop Navigator

May 20, 2015

Here it is!! The Workshop Navigator has arrived to make your decision process that much easier!!  Below you will find a comprehensive list of all the different workshops occurring around the world (yes, the world!) throughout the next year or so!  There are three different lists below – you will notice each list includes all the workshops, but each is organized with a different priority in mind: Date of Occurrence, Category, and Investment.  This will make it easy to sort through everything, especially if you have already taken the time to analyze your business as mentioned yesterday – you will…

Okay, everyone:

Let’s talk workshops.  Ah, workshops.  There seem to be enough of them out there to make your head swim!  Every single one seems like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, or just so cool that you HAVE to be a part of it!  It is easy to get caught up in the hype, and if you’re like me, before you know it you have ten workshops written down that you feel you need to attend in the next few months!  Talk about overload.  So today, I want to talk basics – I am going to answer the three main questions that…

Dear Friends,

Happy Friday!  Today’s blog post was inspired by our sweet friend, Caitlin, of Caitlin Creative Works.  This lovely lady that we bonded with at The Creative at Heart Conference (Round Two!) is launching her OWN blog today, and we are so excited!  She sent us the sweetest mailer to hype us up for the launch, and it so worked.  She asked us to fill in what we are grateful for, and this beautifully simple card sparked a much deeper process of thought.

You see, this past year has been pretty tumultuous for us – we both have…

Hi, friends!

Today, we have another film full of pretty for you!  We were so excited to be a part of Kat Schmoyer‘s first styling workshop – it was a perfectly beautiful afternoon spent learning from the best and getting a lot of hands-on styling experience!!  Attendees were greeted with beautiful welcome baskets by Marigold & Grey, which they ended up using to create a styled flat!  Kat talked through all the ins and outs of wedding planning and styling details, and gave everyone her insight and a ton of encouragement to boot!

Y’all, Kat is one incredible #bosslady!!  As…

The Importance of Moms

May 12, 2015

This blog is a personal one, dear friends.  And to be honest, I am a little scared to share something I have held close to the vest for so long.  With Mothers’ Day this past Sunday, these thoughts have been on my mind swirling around more than ever.  And I have decided I want to share them, purely in the hopes that I can offer up my story for the purpose of encouragement and support for anyone else out there who can relate or even empathize.

But here is the deal: before I go into how important moms are,…

The Bayside Workshop

May 8, 2015

Happy Friday, everyone!!!

Boy, are y’all in for a treat today!!

Back in April, we spent the weekend up in Maryland with the incredible Natalie Franke and Krista Jones as they put on The Bayside Workshop, a two-day conference for photographers. This conference is AH-mazing, you guys! Krista and Natalie have perfected the art of creating an experience for the attendees that cannot be matched. These ladies have curated a perfect collection of people to put on this workshop, and it showed in every aspect of the weekend.

Let’s start by reading their philosophy behind the workshop, which is on the…

Defining Our Why

May 5, 2015

One of the most important things we took away from the Creative at Heart Conference in March was that our business should put an emphasis on being relational as opposed to transactional. Of course it should! We are working closely with wonderful couples on the day they promise each other forever – how could we not be relational??  Bonnie Bakhtiari of B is for Bonnie Design, the amazing woman that she is, spoke specifically on creating an authentic brand, one that places an emphasis on relationships between creatives and their clients.  To create this emphasis, Bonnie told us, we need…
