The most simple way to describe this day is to say that we absolutely loved every minute. We were floating on air, because sweet, wonderful Karie + Will were floating on air. And friends, these two #handspunhoneys have a love that will remain as breathtaking and timeless as their wedding day.

Finding Karie that morning, and being greeted with the sweetest smile and warmest words? Taking our time with her gorgeous bridal details, shooting her Oscar de la Renta dress side-by-side with our favorite Abby? Or how about having her sister and mom help her get ready, or first look with her dad? No, I suppose the answer has been there all along: the moment that stopped our hearts was the moment that Will first saw Karie. Because it was in that instant that we saw a love unlike anything we’d ever seen before – such a pure, all-consuming, joy-filled, life-giving love, it was all we could do not to cry!

(Disclaimer: don’t blame Will entirely for the emotional outburst – as we were waiting to capture that incredible moment, I decided I would ask Will what his favorite thing about Karie was – just something to capture for audio reference for later. Thinking about what he loved most about Karie was what sparked the tears, and personally, that moment will stay with me forever, because it spoke volumes to Will’s character, and while I had already believed he was more than lucky to have Karie, I realized that she was more than lucky to have him.)

You guys, this day. Portraits under the cherry blossoms, dance practice on the balcony, a gorgeous historic church, sweet stolen moments between husband and wife…we could go on forever. This one is going down in the record books. And let’s make one thing clear: what made this day so fantastic, so inspiring, was the love that these two had for each other. Strip all of the beautiful things and wonderful people away, and you still have the most important thing of all: a love that will span a lifetime.
